Get to Know Our Lead Therapist: Amanda Vandervort, MPT, Cert MDT, CMP
Amanda Vandervort, a native of Canfield, Ohio, has always been passionate about the body’s ability to heal itself, a fascination rooted in her athletic background and medical family influences. She pursued this interest at Ohio University, earning both her undergraduate and master’s degrees by 2002. After college, Amanda specialized in various physical therapy techniques, including the McKenzie approach, Mulligan technique, and Vestibular Rehabilitation, with additional certification from Emory University. She has extensive experience in outpatient and skilled nursing facilities, treating conditions ranging from sports injuries to neurological disorders. Amanda is also skilled in Graston technique, enhancing her ability to treat soft tissue dysfunctions effectively. Known for her holistic approach, she ensures her patients fully understand their treatments, customizing therapy to meet individual needs. Amanda has also contributed to the community through her involvement with programs like Back to Golf and speaking engagements at Baldwin Wallace’s Learning In Retirement program.
